LoneLady precedes February release of debut album with ‘Intuition’ single out 8 February 2010

On 8 February 2010 Julie Campbell, AKA LoneLady, is to release a new single. Called ‘Intuition’, the single is taken from her forthcoming debut album ‘Nerve Up’, which is out 22 February on WARP.

Available on 7″ and digital formats, the single is LoneLady’s second single release for the label, following 2009’s limited edition ‘Immaterial’ 7″, which is now available as a free download from www.lonelady.co.uk

‘Intuition’ is backed with a cover of The Fall’s ‘Hotel Bloedel’ (titled ‘Bloedel’ on this release) where decayed chords, archaic violins, Brix’s hypnotized singing and Smith’s SS stories are reimagined as a procession; chanting in black and white.

One in five of the 7″ singles will contain one of a series of postcards revealing images of a 20th century Manchester, courtesy of the Manchester Modernist Society which investigates & celebrates the city past, present & future.
