Today sees Dead Ceremony release their debut EP ‘Tell Me Lies‘. It premiered over on Complex and can be streamed over on Spotify, and available to purchase on iTunes.

With every new release, the Kent/London based quartet appear to grow in confidence, and this debut EP is an essential body of work.

Enchanting synth-stabs weaving around sampled electronics open proceedings, with vocalist Christopher Stewart’s fragile, impassioned vocals adding a real sense of warmth and clarity to the track.

Speaking on the release of the new EP, they’ve said:

“‘Tell Me Lies’ is our take on love, hope, loss and fear. It pulls together our pop, electronic and soul influences; with the aim of offering something new to the electronic-pop genre. The opening song is about wanting to be kept hidden from the reality around us. It sets the tone for the rest of the EP, and this tension between belief and reality runs throughout each track.

Our hope is that people can enjoy our music as much live and surrounded by people, as they would alone with their headphones. Tell Me Lies is a the product of nearly 18-months of support from artists, producers, musicians, recording engineers , photographers and designers, who have gifted us their time because of their faith in the music we are making.”
