BLBL_Adrian_Tuazon_Window_landscapeWith his recent collaboration with Sir Elton John – ‘I Wish We Were Leaving’ – winning both plaudits, radio plays and a support slot on Elton’s June and July European tour dates, Bright Light Bright Light releases his new single ‘An Open Heart’ on September 15th alongside news that Elton John has invited him to continue on tour for the remainder of 2014.

Taken from his acclaimed second album ‘Life Is Easy’, ‘An Open Heart’ is a shimmering pop song based on the phrase ‘You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone’ and a knowing response to the questions posed on ‘Make Me Believe In Hope’, the debut album that singled him out as “one of synth-pop’s most compelling and exciting new talents” (The Sunday Times).

“It’s a song about perspective,” explains Rod Thomas aka Bright Light Bright Light. “It’s far too easy to yearn for what’s “missing” and completely miss the beauty in what you have. Something everyone’s guilty of at times I think.”

Written and produced with long-term collaborator Ian Masteron [of Trouser Enthusiasts and Dannii Minogue fame] ‘An Open Heart’ continues Bright Light Bright Light’s love-affair for synth-sparkling melodies and euphoric modern dance music, key features throughout new album ‘Life Is Easy’.

Having established both a working relationship and friendship with Sir Elton John, Bright Light Bright Light was invited to open for the iconic pop legend throughout June and July. So successful was their time on the road together, Bright Light Bright Light will now join Elton for a USA West Coast tour through September and October, and a full run of November and December European tour dates.
