‘Go’ delivers dreamy, ethereal ambient synths and widespread glacial soundscapes, combining pop sensibilities with spacey melancholic interludes. Saffran’s heartfelt vocals captivate from the outset with mesmerising lyrics which get under your skin and stay there.

Saffran said about the single “`GO` is about feeling the urge to leave a place or person, to be able to grow and get a new perspective on situations. To embrace being uncomfortable, to be able to take the next step in life’s journey. I love the straightforward simplicity in this song. And I’m obsessed with the dreamy nostalgic soundscapes Acea has been able to create in the production.

Acea continued to talk about the track sonically “Go” reminisces feelings and memories of driving in a car alone in the countryside, listening to Kanye West’s influential album “808’s and Heartbreaks”. The sound is timeless yet familiar, nostalgia seeps into every fibre of the song’s production.

Saffran was born to a Swedish mother and British Jamaican father, she moved to Stockholm at the age of 4 and grew up embracing a diverse heritage and new experiences. Her eclectic mix of music influences originate from childhood, when she, along with her sister, would go through her parent’s old CDs and Vinyl collection. Their sole aim was to find uplifting tracks that they could dance around the living room to. Today, Saffran makes alternative R&B and funk/disco pop, citing her influences as the likes of Jamiroquai, Kelela, Erykah Badu, Hiatus Kaiyote, Patrice Rushen, KAYTRANDA, The internet, Mereba, Qendresa and Muddy Monk. Saffran started her music career as a solo artist in 2019 with her debut single `you`, her recent collaboration with long-time friend and producer Acea has given the artist a fresh perspective, enabling her to further hone her sound.

Acea is the moniker of Swedish producer and songwriter Viktor Hannell-Bonde. Raised in Stockholm, Acea was first exposed to music production during the notorious wave of electronic dance music, flowing from the Swedish capital during the mid-00s and early 2010s. Aged 14, he started uploading house tracks echoing the styles of idols such as Axwell, Steve Angello and Avicii. It didn’t take long until he found his own musical imprint, and at age 16, his music was picked up by the esteemed label Size Records. Since then, Acea has shown his ability and affection for adapting his style, while still maintaining his musical DNA in a wide variety of different genres. He is known on the Stockholm contemporary hip-hop scene, for working with Yung Lean and rapper A$AP Ferg.

The collaboration of Saffran & Acea brings together a heady mix of music genres and influences to deliver an infectious cut of alternative pop to remember.
