New Zealander CHASE WOODS shares new single ‘Landlords’ released 12th October 2022. The track written by Chase Woods, produced by Joshua ‘Shush’ Crosland, mixed and mastered by Jpecthebutterflyboy. This single is taken from Chases’ debut EP ‘Terrace End Tapes’ released 25th November 2022. ‘Landlords’ follows the release of ‘Silent Nights’ in August 2022.
“Landlords” Chase intertwines his harmonizing vocals, and soulful riffs & melodies into a full symphony of hip-hop soul.
Chase Woods quote: ‘Landlords’ is me trying to capture the innocence of the kids that I grew up with. The song’s melody is vibrant and upbeat but the lyrics are about hard times and what comes with growing up. Landlords is a time capsule of my childhood.
When it blooms, what will you do? Grow with it or get lost in the shadow, Chase Woods says of his music career which began with the release of Date Night in early 2021. Chase Woods, a Māori living in Palmerston North, New Zealand, is growing emotionally and musically. Having moved back to ‘Palmy’ (home) during lockdown and like all of us, questioning life, he wrote a bunch of songs about his childhood.
