‘Drive’ is the first track to be heard, as a result of a new collaboration between New York’s Ang Low and London’s Embody, premiering over on The Fader.
Sharing ideas from either side of the Atlantic…with Ang Low hustled down in his Brooklyn studio and Embody hunkered down in his Hackney bunker. Technicolour visions shared and now all crafted in time for the summer.
‘Drive’ will be released on 17/07/2015 on Just Off Pop.
“The night I wrote the lyrics to ‘Drive’ I was I was over it all. The drama of the city, I was trippin about the job and my shitty check… I went home and started writing about getting away. I remember being frustrated as I wrote it because I couldn’t play the piano cause I had fucked up a finger. Almost cut it in half that night on the line…” Ang Low.
“I think the first remix I have ever done was for Ang Low’s track ‘Can’t Describe Her’. He is from New York and I live in London, so we never actually met in person. it turned out that he really liked it and I loved his voice, so we decided to work on some music together. A few e-mails later ‘Drive’ was born.” Embody
