The spirit of duality is eloquently delivered with part of the album recorded in the band’s native France and the second at the all-analogue Toe Rag Studios, London. The result is an awe-inspiring combination of raw, crackling gritty rock and cerebral electronic sounds.

The band said about Mess & Mania “this album tells the story of creating of Glossy Clouds, from its most impetuous temperament to its most dreamy and ambitious. It’s a sincere story, inspired by a combination of our past and present life experiences, the unknown lights of the cosmos, and our unanswered questions about the universe in its entirety. It’s a record full of beautiful encounters, intense moments and discoveries which will always symbolize the beauty of our first steps in rock music!

Glossy Clouds continued to talk about the lead single ‘Retro Spacecraft’ “The album ends with this space epic, where we meet our childhood inspirations. It’s filled with pop culture references and tributes to everything we’ve known or wished we knew. “Retro Spacecraft” extends on an endless, delayed beat, a mix of electric and acoustic strings, and vocals from a reassuring distance”

Glossy Clouds are Jérôme Bralet (vocals and guitar), Hugo Merle (Drums) and their three female choristers. The duo were introduced by their respective girlfriends and immediately hit it off, a shared outlook and energy for music, art, photography and life were channelled into their songwriting and performances to create the unique collective ‘Glossy Clouds’. The result is not just a band, but a creative universe where an inspired, anything-goes lawlessness is utterly riveting. The inseparable songwriting duo are outsiders looking in, effectively rock kids in a dance town. It’s this that binds them.

‘Glossy Clouds’ have been supported online by the likes of BBC 6 Music, Wonderland, Clash, This Feeling, XS Noise and The Most Radicalist to name but a few. A live showcase of all releases was performed at 229 London at the end of 2021.  The performance aligned the band’s unique songwriting and visuals to craft a complete artistic statement and an electric, sexy glam atmosphere. Audiences were treated to custom-made costumes, wild stage moves and unlimited supplies of energy.

With music that captivates the listener from the outset, alongside a compelling glorious, unadorned, unpretentious thirst for self-expression, the future looks very bright for Glossy Clouds.
