Tom Speight Addresses Failed Relationships On ‘Strangers Now’

London-based artist Tom Speight releases ‘Strangers Now’ (30.11.18), the third track taken from his forthcoming album released Spring 2019.

Co-written with Lisa Hannigan ‘Strangers Now’ is one of Tom’s most confident songs to date. The strong hook brings beauty to the dense foundations of the rhythm section and once again the amazing vocals of Lydia Clowes blend beautifully with Tom.

On the track, Tom quotes:-  ‘Strangers Now’ is the second lead single to be taken from my debut album. I’ve experienced my fair share of failed relationships and broken homes, the song was essentially born out the feeling of a relationship at its bitter end. Produced by Chris Bond (Ben Howard) in Devon.

Tom released four EP’s in 2017/2018; ‘Willow Tree’ Jan ’17, ‘My My My’ July ’17, ‘Waiting’ Dec ‘17 and ‘Live At Studio 3’ April ’18.

Tom continues to gain strong support at Radio 2, including 1 B list and 4 C list records over the past 18 months. Tom has also reached a staggering 60m streams, with 2m monthly listeners on Spotify.

Tour:-

Following October’s sold out UK tour and support slots with Tom Odell and Snow Petrol, this year Tom’s live shows have grow from strength to strength. 2019 will see Tom back on the road, dates to be announced before the end of this year.

Praise for Tom:

A passionate love song which has Speight confessing he is head-over-heels in love in what every girl dreams of from their imaginary indie-pop boyfriend. ‘Want You’ screams happiness in all aspects; the bubbly, bright, uplifting beat has us excited for the album release in Spring 2019 – National Student

Gorgeous acoustic flecked hymns, trenchant rockers, off-the-cuff folk pieces, Tom Speight can draw his muse anywhere.
