‘Regulate’ is a modern parable taken from our new self-help book ‘Superstore’, which will be hitting shelves early next year.

Petrie explain: The beginning of a new relationship can often feel like a deliciously groggy daze which you can unknowingly imprison yourself in to avoid the dread of your looming personal failures. Can’t finish that short story? Don’t spend enough time with your grandmother? Keep deleting and re-installing Duolingo, using it once and deluding yourself you’re a third fluent in Spanish? A new flame will engulf all of that as you watch the enticing glow from afar until one day you’re both burnt to a crisp while lazing in bed sharing Frank O’Hara poems, making love to Frank Ocean and crying to Frank Sinatra.”

Sonically, there is the hypnotic minimalism (or regulation, perhaps) of a twinkly guitar loop, a harmonic bed of electric piano and the relentlessly thumping doldrums of summers gone too soon.

August 2018, Petrie released EP  “Self Destruct” which included sun soaked banger  ‘June’ featuring the glorious vocals of JESS and praised by the likes of Popdust, Popmatters, Complex, Bornmusic, Digital High, Neon and many more from the online music community and beyond.

Following their sold out show at The Waiting Room in September, Petrie will be playing The Moth Club, London on February 20 2019.
