Today sees Jordan Max share his stunning second track ‘Let Me Lay Down’ from his upcoming debut EP  ‘Only One Is King’ out March 25th.

New track ‘Let Me Lay Down’ blends elements of soul, hip-hop and indie into what could be mistaken for the output of an accomplished star from Detroit or Memphis. The truth is Jordan Max is a 23 year-old from the unlikely location of Oldham, near Manchester

Recently premiering on The Fader and Pigeons and Planes (links below), it has also been played on Pharrell’s Beats1 show, with both Zane and Julie Adenuga also giving it a spin, along with BBC Radio support from Huw Stephens, and Jamz Supernova.

Written and recorded in his bedroom, the EP from which these tracks have been lifted, showcases his arresting, timeless and soulful vocals and makes for an impressive initial offering.

Speaking on the new track, Jordan said: “In the midst of a turbulent relationship, ‘Let Me Lay Down’ was born. Opening my eyes and understanding my value as an individual, instead of putting up with it.”

Having taught himself to produce and play guitar and keys, Jordan soon began writing and recording demos, including what would later evolve into his forthcoming EP, ‘Only One Is King’, out 25th March on Full + Bless.
