Once again THANKS invites you to the dance floor. This time with a new version of a classic soul track from 2004.

New single “Livin’ My Life” premiered over on Wonderland Magazine, and can now be streamed below.

THANKS are bringing Jill Scott’s soul gem “Golden” back to life. Their new version – “Livin’ My Life” – is a bouncy house/pop anthem with expertly chopped up vocals and an insatiably groovy instrumental backing.

Speaking on how the track came about, THANKS said: “The idea for Livin’ My Life came from stumbling upon an acapella on YouTube. Not knowing the original song, we thought this sounded like a hook for a disco song and we actually ended up finishing our track before listening to the original song, which resulted in funky chopped-up jam with some serious boogie vibes”

“Livin’ My Life” is the follow up to THANKS‘ debut single “Dizzy”. A song that went top 10 on the Spotify UK Viral chart and has become an underground dance hit in several countries, following support from the likes of The Line Of Best Fit, Clash Magazine and many more.

THANKS is a new exciting producer duo consisting of Anders and Anders, previously members of acclaimed, successful Danish band Alphabeat – they make energetic and bouncy electronic music that draws inspiration from house, funk, soul and pop.

An extensive list of influences includes Mark Ronson, Basement Jaxx, Les Rythmes Digitales, Girl Talk and Fatboy Slim. Musical chameleons who use the past to create something for the present.

With the name THANKS, Anders & Anders say thanks for the music they’re influenced by, thanks to the people they collaborate with and thanks the people who listen to their music.

“Livin’ My Life” is set for release officially 19th August via Copenhagen Records.
