New music app, LOST, announces its official curators’ section, in partnership with 21 of the UK’s most influential music blogs, websites and magazines.

LOST is a new app which allows fans to jump between different music experiences in one place – whether it’s reading about new music on blogs, adding that music to playlists or buying tickets to gigs.

The line-up of LOST’s official curators are: FACT, VICE’s music channels Noisey & Thump UK, Mahogany, UKF, i-D, The Line of Best Fit, Dummy, The 405, Complex UK, Clash Magazine, Data Transmission, Rockfeedback, Gold Flake Paint, The Ransom Note, Inverted Audio, Stamp the Wax, Hyponik, Harder Blogger Faster, Getintothis and Fortitude Magazine.

In LOST, users can be the first to listen to all the music and videos which these curators are talking about, all streamed as playlists and updated daily. LOST matches every track to artists’ catalogues in Spotify and Apple Music.

For live music fans, LOST has partnered with Songkick, the leading independent artist-ticketing and live music discovery platform, to make it easy to see tour dates and buy tickets directly from the LOST app.

For users with playlists across SoundCloud, YouTube, Apple and Spotify, they can import them into their LOST collection. With all the music in one place, fans can create playlists from anywhere, without anything getting in the way.

Speaking about LOST, Paul Bridgewater, Editor of The Line of Best Fit, said:

“It feels like most streaming services have a singular approach to emerging artists and the concept of “new” that ignores an entire tier of music bubbling underneath. The LOST app totally nails the concept of authentic new music discovery combined with a neat streaming interface.

“I’ve been waiting years for something like this and it’s awesome to be part of it alongside so many other sites we love and respect. I hope it helps bring more ears to some of the amazing new talent we cover on The Line of Best Fit.”

Al Horner, FACT’s Editor-in-Chief, commented:

“As most people will have noticed while lost down a digital music rabbit hole at 3am on a school night, there’s never been more new music at fans’ fingertips, ready for discovery. The downside to this is that sometimes it’s hard to cut through the noise to the best, most essential acts you should be checking out. LOST has a similar mission statement to FACT in this way – it wants to shine a light on the best stuff.”

In LOST, fans can playlist everything they discover – no matter where it’s from. – making it easier for the music that blogs and sites are talking about to make it into their collections, whilst connecting it back into the official curators’ editorial so fans can find out more.

Crispin Futrille, founder of LOST, said:

“Working together with our curators to bring their discerning voices to a new audience in LOST is truly exciting. We want to put the music they’re talking about right at the heart of our users’ music collections.”
