The EP delivers a remarkable series of songs that match funk grooves to rock bite and a healthy dose of hyper-colourful surrealist pop, for good measure. Each song, driven by the duo’s thirst for freethinking originality, both moving and amusing, melodically direct and emotionally enriching.
The band said “This is a typically “glitter rock” ep, which explores the multiple facets of Glossy Clouds: glam pop, intense rock, ballads … A trenchant and dynamic summary of the unique personality of our project, imbued with our dreams, our ambitions, our experience and our rants, all coated with a kind of naivety and freedom!”
They continued to talk about the lead single “Buy All That You Want’ embodies our fascination with sunny California. A fresh and bouncy song inspired by the images of our incredible road trip on the west coast …Our American dream in music!”
Glossy Clouds are Jérôme Bralet (vocals and Guitar), Hugo Merle (Drums) and their three female choristers. The duo were introduced by their respective girlfriends and immediately hit it off, a shared outlook and energy for music, art, photography, and life was channelled into their songwriting and performances to create the unique collective ‘Glossy Clouds’. The result is not just a band, but a creative universe where the gentle humour and anything-goes lawlessness is utterly riveting. The inseparable songwriting duo are outsiders looking in, effectively rock kids in a dance town. It’s this that binds them.
Previous releases from the EP were supported online by the likes of Clash, XS Noise and Gas Mask Magazine to name but a few. A live showcase of all tracks will be performed at 229 London on Tuesday 14th September. The live show will align the bands unique songwriting and visuals to craft a complete artistic statement and an electric, sexy glam atmosphere. Audiences will be treated to matching custom-made costumes, wild stage moves and unlimited supplies of energy.
With music that captivates the listener from the outset, alongside a compelling glorious, unadorned, unpretentious thirst for self-expression, the future looks very bright for Glossy Clouds.

Praise for Glossy Clouds:
It’s a glam rock stomper, a colourful launch for a band who want to grab hold of Bowie’s songbook and give it a 2k21 twist. – Clash
